Review photo submissions

Triage community photo sets, copy accepted files into the media library, and reject the rest without leaving orphan uploads.

Work → Photo Submissions
Accept does
Copies files into the Media Library

Read the submission queue

Photo Submissions is an editor tool. Community uploads land in quarantine until someone on the desk reviews them. Tabs split the work into New, Accepted, and Rejected.

  1. Open Photo Submissions

    Start on New. The count on each tab is the number of sets in that status.

  2. Select a card

    The detail shows the photos, submitter information, and any game context the form captured.

  3. Check credit and game details

    Accepting copies those details onto the Media Library files. Fix obvious mistakes in your notes before you accept if the public credit would otherwise be wrong.

Accept a set

  1. Confirm the photos are usable

    Look for focus, identity, and whether the images match the stated game. Do not accept a set you would not put on a story.

  2. Choose Accept for library

    Confirm the prompt. The files are copied into the Media Library with credit and game details.

  3. Attach them from a post when needed

    Open the story’s Files tab → From library, or place a display code in the Markdown body.

Reject a set

  1. Optional: write a Reject note

    Use the note when you want a record of why the set was turned down. The note is for the desk, not a public message.

  2. Choose Reject

    Confirm that you want to reject the submission and delete the uploaded files. Quarantine files are removed.

  3. Leave Accepted and Rejected as history

    Those tabs are a record. Do not re-accept from Rejected; ask the submitter to send a new set if the photos are still needed.

Can a contributor review photo submissions?

No. The screen is editor-only. Contributors use files they upload themselves or items already in the Media Library.

Does Accept publish the photos?

No. It only copies them into the library. A published post still has to use the file as featured media or a body embed.

Where do I fix a bad credit after accept?

Open the file in the Media Library and update Accreditation, then Save.
