Sweet Home Field Hockey Pre-season Preview

Sweet Home enters the 2026 field hockey season with experience in goal. Senior Brianna Brown recorded 289 saves in 2025, while sophomore Afnan Obeid added 26.

Head coach Erica Prible leads Sweet Home Varsity Field Hockey into a schedule that gives the team plenty of early chances to settle in at home. After opening at Eden, Sweet Home is slated for home games against Iroquois, Williamsville South, Buffalo Seminary, Buffalo Academy of Science and Orchard Park before the end of September.

The clearest returning scoring line belongs to Natalie Annesi, a Class of 2028 attack who had two goals and one assist as a sophomore in 2025-26. Emily Keller, a Class of 2028 midfielder, added two assists last season.

Sweet Home also has a notable group of Class of 2027 players on the roster. Delanie Flemming, Skyla Schreiner, Addison Tubin, Savannah Near, Kenley Johnson and goalkeeper Brianna Brown give the team six listed seniors, while Afnan Obeid returns in goal after a 2025-26 line that included 26 saves on 36 shots faced.

The roster also includes younger players across the field. Siena Galante, Valerie Heine, Amelia Annesi and Ella Carl are Class of 2030 players, while Salma Fathallah, Madison Miller and Afnan Obeid are listed in the Class of 2029. Makatendeka Chagumaira, Emily Keller, McKynzie Hillyard and Natalie Annesi are part of the Class of 2028.

After the September home stretch, Sweet Home's schedule includes road trips to Lancaster, Pioneer, Starpoint, Williamsville North, Hamburg, Clarence and Williamsville East. The regular-season slate is scheduled to close Oct. 23 at home against West Seneca.
