Senior Group Sets Kenmore's Tone

Kenmore Field Hockey enters the 2026 season with head coach Lindsey Palame looking to blend a large senior group with several new players in the program.

"We have a lot of new girls to our team this year, but also a lot of seniors," Palame said. "We have a talented group this year."

That senior presence is the clearest theme around Kenmore's preseason outlook. The roster lists eight members of the Class of 2027: Kaylee Tooley, AnneMarie Toukatly, Mackenzie Kumrow, Hailey Mueller, Ella Schupp, Julie Payne, Lillian Tooley and Kiley Burke.

Palame said that group gives Kenmore its strongest foundation entering the season.

"My senior athletes give me a lot of hope for this season," Palame said. "They have worked so hard the past couple of years."

She also pointed to the seniors as the team's biggest strength because of the way they support newer players.

"They are very helpful and supportive of the new athletes and create a strong foundation for our team," Palame said.

Players To Watch

Kumrow is one of Kenmore's key names entering the season. Palame identified her as the team's best candidate for a breakout year, and Kumrow brings the most prior scoring production among Kenmore's returning players. In 2025, she had four goals and two assists.

Palame also named Burke as a player who could become an important new contributor while taking on a larger role.

The roster also includes goalkeeper Katherine Pritchard, a Class of 2029 player.

Schedule Landmarks

Kenmore's schedule begins Sept. 10 at Sparky Adams against Roy-Hart, then sends the team to Medina on Sept. 15.

The first stretch of home dates continues with Barker on Sept. 17 and Newfane on Sept. 24. Kenmore's October schedule includes home games against Medina on Oct. 6, Buffalo Seminary on Oct. 13, Wilson on Oct. 20 and Akron on Oct. 22.

Palame, a Kenmore graduate, said her own history with the program remains part of the way she views its future.

"I love this sport and program, and introducing so many new athletes to this sport," Palame said. "My hope is to keep building up our program and someday be able to have a JV and Varsity program."

For this season, the goal is direct: "Have fun and try their best 100% of the time."
