Holland/East Aurora builds from combined-program foundation

Holland/East Aurora enters the 2026 field hockey season with a head coach whose connection to the combined program runs through both communities.

Kim Borowski has been Holland/East Aurora's varsity head coach since the 2021 season, when the program first merged. Borowski said she is a Holland player alumna and now lives in East Aurora.

"I have a personal connection to both communities which means growing the program for both schools is one of my main priorities," Borowski said.

That combined-program identity is part of Holland/East Aurora's preseason picture. The roster lists 14 players, including an eight-player Class of 2027 group: Aria Corcoran, Karly Kopciowski, Antonia Monteleone, Gianna Patterson, Gianna Savage, Alexis Senger, Jennifer Wiedeman and Jackie Wright.

Patterson, a senior defense/midfield player, brings the most substantial returning production available in the published 2025-26 statistics after recording four goals and two assists last season. Senger, a senior attack, had one goal and one assist in 2025-26, while Corcoran, a senior midfielder, had two assists.

The roster also includes sophomores Willow Hupkowcicz, Olivia Jetty and Riley Wright, along with freshmen Vivian Fisher, Emma Kirsch and goalkeeper Elise Perry.

Holland/East Aurora's listed schedule opens Sept. 9 against Hamburg at Holland High School's Stadium Turf Field, then continues with Buffalo Seminary on Sept. 14 at East Aurora High School's Stadium Turf Field and a Sept. 16 road game at Williamsville North.
