Williamsville North defeated Williamsville East/South by seven strokes

Williamsville North defeated Williamsville East/South 199-206 in girls golf at TVCC on Oct. 6, with four counting rounds between 45 and 53 providing a seven-stroke margin.

Keira Speyer led North with a 45. Sevin Park followed at 50, Izabella Zandi shot 51 and Hadley Hawker carded 53 to complete North's 199 total.

Williamsville East/South's Clara Davies posted the match's lowest score, a 40, and recorded a birdie. Bella Sieracki added a 45, Nora Boeing finished at 58 and Brooklyn Rowan shot 63, giving East/South a team score of 206.

North's counting golfers combined for 22 strokes on the fifth hole, compared with 27 for East/South, accounting for five strokes of the final difference. Both teams totaled 20 on the ninth hole.

Davies finished the contest with two medalist honors and seven birdies for the season, including her performance against North.

North improved from 4-2 to 5-2 overall and remained 2-0 in ECIC Small. East/South moved from 4-3 to 4-4 overall and remained 1-2 in ECIC Large. Through Oct. 6, North was listed second in the ECIC Small standings and East/South was third in ECIC Large.
