Williamsville East swept Starpoint 3-0 in boys volleyball Monday, Oct. 5, at Williamsville East High School, winning 25-18, 25-19, 25-23.
Williamsville East took the first two sets by seven and six points, respectively. The third set produced the closest finish, with Williamsville East winning by two points to complete the sweep.
The victory moved Williamsville East from 6-1 to 7-1 overall and left them unbeaten in Division 2A at 5-0. Williamsville East held the top spot in the division standings through the contest date.
Starpoint fell from 5-4 to 5-5 overall and finished the match at 3-2 in division play. Starpoint stood fifth in Division 2A.
