Williamsville East 2026 Football Preview

Williamsville East goes into 2026 with Mike Torrillo as head coach and several clear production points from last fall's 7-3 team.

The most established offensive piece is Anthony Martis, a senior QB/DB who produced a full passing line in 2025. Martis completed 116 passes for 1,421 yards and 22 touchdowns as a junior, while also rushing for 84 yards and two scores.

That gives Williamsville East a returning quarterback with recent varsity production, and the passing game also brings back Joe Santoro, a senior RB/DB with productive receiving and rushing numbers from last season.

Passing Game Pieces

Santoro caught 30 passes for 413 yards and five touchdowns in 2025. He also carried 33 times for 172 yards and a touchdown, giving Williamsville East a player with prior-season production in both the receiving and rushing game.

Defensive Returners

The clearest returning defensive production from 2025 starts with Matthew Glennon, a senior OL/DL who had 49 tackles and two sacks last season.

Joe Peer, a senior WR/DB, added 19 tackles and two interceptions in 2025.

Schedule Landmarks

Williamsville East is scheduled to open Sept. 4 at Kenmore East at Sparky Adams - SA Turf, then play its home opener Sept. 10 against South Park at Williamsville East High School's Turf Field #1.

The home stretch continues Sept. 18 against North Tonawanda and Sept. 25 against Hamburg. October opens with an Oct. 2 trip to Starpoint before Williamsville East returns home Oct. 9 against Maritime - Tapestry.

The final two regular-season fixtures are road games: Oct. 16 at Grand Island and Oct. 23 at Williamsville South.

For Williamsville East, the preseason view is built around known returning production. Martis comes back after a 22-touchdown passing season, Santoro returns after more than 500 yards from scrimmage in 2025, and the defense has experienced pieces in Glennon and Peer as the schedule moves toward an October finish on the road.
