West Seneca East Boys Volleyball Pre-season Preview

West Seneca East enters the 2026 boys volleyball season with a roster that has some familiar names in important places and an early schedule that wastes little time getting started.

West Seneca East opens Sept. 14 at Iroquois, then comes back to West Seneca East High School for its home opener Sept. 15 against Eden/North Collins. That quick turnaround is followed by a Sept. 18 trip to Cheektowaga and home matches against Canisius on Sept. 21 and East Aurora/Holland on Sept. 23.

In HighSchoolSports.org's published results, West Seneca East has stacked together three straight winning seasons: 10-5 in 2025-26, 13-5 in 2024-25 and 10-6 in 2023-24. The next version of West Seneca East will try to build from a group that includes returning upperclassmen with varsity experience.

Senior Mark Zulawski, listed as a middle/outside hitter, and senior Kaden Palmer, listed as a setter, each return with experience from the previous two seasons. Senior middle blocker Aiden O'Neil, junior libero Josh Duer and junior middle/opposite Grason Walker also return from last season, giving coach Dave Kutina several players who have already been around the varsity schedule.

The roster also includes senior outside hitter Landon Davies, senior outside hitter/middle blocker Sean Sobieraj, junior defensive specialist Robert Crisp, junior opposite Brady Blank and sophomore opposite Jaden Koller.

The October stretch should provide a clear read on where West Seneca East is headed. West Seneca East visits Maryvale on Oct. 1 and West Seneca West on Oct. 2, then hosts Lancaster on Oct. 5 and Amherst on Oct. 7. Later, they close the listed schedule with road matches at East Aurora/Holland, Lake Shore and St. Francis before home dates against Williamsville South and Maryvale.
