Overview

  • Tonawanda defeated Holland 3-0 at Tonawanda High School on Sept. 29, winning the sets 25-12, 25-18 and 25-16.
  • Tonawanda improved to 6-4 overall and stood third in ECIC 4 with a 2-3 division record.
  • Holland fell to 1-5 overall and was tied for fifth in ECIC 5 with a 0-4 division record.

Tonawanda swept Holland 3-0 in girls volleyball at Tonawanda High School on Sept. 29, winning 25-12, 25-18, 25-16.

Tonawanda opened with a 13-point victory in the first set. Holland's highest point total came in the second set, but Tonawanda won that set by seven before closing the match with a nine-point margin in the third.

The cross-division victory brought Tonawanda's overall record to 6-4. Tonawanda stood third in ECIC 4 with a 2-3 division record. Holland fell to 1-5 overall and was tied for fifth in ECIC 5 at 0-4 in division play.
