Sweet Home Looks To Build Into 2026 Boys Volleyball Season

Sweet Home's 2026 boys volleyball season begins with a roster that gives coach Carly Shifflet several pieces to sort into place early.

Sweet Home has returning experience in key spots, led by Jonathan Dineshkumar, a Class of 2028 right side/outside hitter, and Ryan Tran, a Class of 2028 libero. Both give Sweet Home varsity experience as the program works through a schedule that gets busy right away.

The current roster also includes Parker Swartz at outside hitter/libero, Ryan Clark at defensive specialist, Marek Otterson at right side and Tauhidullah Hossain Ali in the middle, all from the Class of 2028. Vithushan Kandeepan is listed as a Class of 2029 setter, while Cade Radice, a Class of 2030 setter/middle blocker, and Andres Roa, a Class of 2031 outside hitter/middle blocker, give the group younger options in different parts of the rotation.

In HighSchoolSports.org's published results, Sweet Home went 3-15 in 2025-26 after finishing 6-8 in 2024-25. The next step will be finding more consistency across a schedule that offers little time to settle in.

Sweet Home is scheduled to open Sept. 10 at Lancaster before hosting Lake Shore on Sept. 11. A road match at Williamsville North follows Sept. 14, with Williamsville East visiting Sweet Home on Sept. 15. The September slate also includes home matches against Orchard Park, Hamburg and Clarence, plus a trip to St. Francis. Lancaster visits on Oct. 2.

The October schedule brings a quick home-and-home with Frontier on Oct. 19 and Oct. 20, followed by Iroquois on Oct. 21. Sweet Home closes the listed schedule with a trip to Clarence on Oct. 27 and a home match against Hutch Tech on Oct. 28.
