Starpoint took the first two sets 25-8 and 25-11 to build a 2-0 lead. Amherst's closest set came in the third, but Starpoint completed the sweep with a 25-20 win.
The victory brought Starpoint to 5-4 overall and 3-1 in Division 2A. Starpoint stood fourth in the division standings through the contest date. Amherst finished the match at 1-7 overall and 1-4 in divisional play, eighth in the standings.
