Speyer's 44 led Williamsville North past East Aurora

Keira Speyer shot a medalist round of 44 to lead Williamsville North to a 196-234 girls golf victory over East Aurora on Oct. 7 at Ironwood Golf Course.

Sevin Park added a 48, Miranda Proctor shot 51 and Hadley Hawker finished with a 53. Those four rounds made up Williamsville North's team total, which was 38 strokes lower than East Aurora's.

Speyer recorded a 3 on the fourth hole and finished with consecutive 4s on the final two holes. The performance gave her three medalist finishes through the match.

Iuliia Karpenko led East Aurora with a 49. Ariana Ward shot 60, Charolotte Roycroft finished at 62 and Madeline Doering added a 63 to complete East Aurora's team score. Izabella Zandi shot 56 for Williamsville North and Abby Jetty shot 71 for East Aurora in exhibition rounds.

Williamsville North improved from 5-2 to 6-2 overall and stood first in ECIC - Small at 3-0 in division play. East Aurora moved from 1-5 to 1-6 overall and stood second in the table with a 1-1 division record.
