Outlook
Silver Creek/Forestville enters the 2026 girls soccer season with an experienced defensive base and clear targets from coach Jesse Hamms.
Hamms said the team returns its starting goalkeeper, three of four starting defenders and two midfielders. He also noted that two new starting forwards played minutes there last season, giving the attack some prior exposure as the group looks to improve its wing play and scoring consistency.
The goals are ambitious: score at least 40 goals, allow 20 or fewer, finish 7-3 in the division and go 11-5 overall. Hamms said Silver Creek/Forestville wants to counterattack and press as much as possible.
Players to Watch
Abby Cook is the returning player Hamms identified as a likely breakout candidate and a set-piece threat. Cook had seven goals and five assists in 2025 after posting nine goals and 12 assists in 2024.
Eliza Mahaney gives the team a returning goalkeeper line after recording 102 saves across 945 minutes in 2025. Hamms described the starter as athletic and a strong communicator from the back.
The captains are Emily Bain, Kyla Ziegler and Kaydence Ziolkowski. Hamms highlighted Ziolkowski and Allison Hughes as players whose value may not always show in the box score, with Ziolkowski controlling the back line and Hughes organizing from defensive midfield.
Samantha Hogg/Timmermann is the incoming or newly featured player Hamms named as a potential contributor. Malayah Eldridge also returns after scoring six goals in 2025.
