Sherman enters the 2026 girls volleyball season under head coach Jason Yohe after finishing 7-12 in 2025-26. Five seniors and several experienced juniors return.

The clearest returning numbers start in the middle and on the pins. Emmersen Crawford, a Class of 2028 middle hitter/outside hitter, produced 96 kills, 35 aces, 37 blocks and 36 digs during the 2025-26 season. Jayne Chambers, also in the Class of 2028, added 34 kills and 39 blocks last season, giving Sherman another front-row player with blocking production already on record.

The senior group gives Sherman additional experience across multiple roles. Madison Emory had 46 kills, 44 aces and 41 digs in 2025-26. Carlie Gable finished that season with 38 kills, 109 digs and 25 aces, while Caylee Pinzok recorded 196 assists and 36 aces from the setter position. Taylor Pinzok, listed as a libero/defensive specialist, had 42 digs last season.

Natalie Kranz also returns with 2025-26 production after posting 39 digs, 18 aces and 13 kills as a sophomore. Iona Burkholder gives Sherman another senior outside hitter with prior varsity numbers.

The schedule begins with a busy opening stretch. Sherman is scheduled to host Westfield on Sept. 2 and Panama on Sept. 11 before road dates at Forestville on Sept. 14 and North Collins on Sept. 16. Sherman then returns home for Brocton on Sept. 17 and Clymer on Sept. 21.

Sherman is also scheduled for late-season rematches against Westfield on Oct. 15, Cassadaga Valley on Oct. 19, Panama on Oct. 21 and Brocton on Oct. 22.
