Riverside Prepares For 2026 Boys Volleyball Season

Riverside enters the 2026 boys volleyball season with a familiar senior group and a schedule that gives the program an immediate home measuring point.

Coach Jeremy Lyman's roster includes five Class of 2027 players: Christian Lepage Burgos, Jerial Quantaro, William Rivera, Jose Rodiguez and William Shanks. Each returns from last season, giving Riverside a core of players who have already been through a varsity schedule together.

That experience matters for a team coming off a 3-7 season in 2025-26, according to HighSchoolSports.org published results. Riverside's wins last fall came against McKinley, Olmsted and City Honors, including a five-set home win over City Honors on Oct. 21.

The new schedule starts with City Honors again. Riverside opens Sept. 16 at Riverside High School, then stays home Sept. 23 against Niagara Falls. The first road stretch follows quickly with matches at Hutch Tech on Sept. 25 and Depew on Sept. 26.

Late September and October bring CSAT and Cardinal O’Hara onto the schedule alongside returning opponents Olmsted, Iprep, McKinley, Hutch Tech and City Honors. Riverside closes the listed schedule Oct. 26 at McKinley.
