Orchard Park improved to 8-1 with a three-set girls volleyball victory over Williamsville East on Monday, Oct. 5, at Orchard Park High School.
Orchard Park won the opener 25-11, took the second set 25-18 and completed the sweep 25-10. The second set was the closest of the three, with Orchard Park winning by seven points.
Orchard Park coach Katie Fabbro identified Payton Schlenker as a standout.
The victory brought Orchard Park to 8-1 overall, while Williamsville East fell to 4-4. The matchup between ECIC 1 and ECIC 2 teams left both division records at 3-1.
Orchard Park stood second in ECIC 1 behind Lancaster in the standings through Oct. 5. Williamsville East was second in ECIC 2 behind West Seneca West.
