Olean 2026 Football Preview

Olean enters the 2026 football season under head coach Terry Burrows with several returning players who produced in 2025.

Olean finished 4-5 last fall. This year's roster includes a broad Class of 2027 senior group and younger players who already handled varsity work on offense and defense.

Young production to watch

Dom Myers gives Olean one of its most complete returning stat lines from 2025. As a freshman, the Class of 2029 RB/DB rushed for 102 yards and one touchdown, caught 14 passes for 220 yards and one touchdown, and finished with 61 tackles and nine tackles for loss.

Tyler Sullivan, a Class of 2028 WR/DB, also returns after contributing in the passing game. Sullivan caught 14 passes for 105 yards and one touchdown in 2025, and he added 13 tackles, one tackle for loss and one fumble recovery.

Liam Ruggles gives Olean a senior receiving option with recent production. The Class of 2027 WR/DB caught four passes for 59 yards and a touchdown as a junior in 2025, while also adding five tackles and one tackle for loss.

Defensive pieces

Owen Tingley gives Olean senior production near the line of scrimmage. The Class of 2027 OL/LB made 56 tackles, including six tackles for loss, and recorded two sacks in 2025.

Booth also returns after a productive sophomore season at defensive end. The Class of 2028 WR/DE made 57 tackles, including 10 tackles for loss, and recorded four sacks in 2025.

The roster also lists several Class of 2027 linemen and front-seven players, including Terrell James, DeShawn Palmer and Dan Armijo. Dominic DiCerbo, Amari Parrish, Ashton Spink, Emmet Caya and Alan Ruszkowski are among the underclass linemen listed for Olean.

Schedule landmarks

Olean is scheduled to open Sept. 4 at home against Pioneer at Bradner Stadium, then travel to Depew on Sept. 11.

Olean returns to Bradner Stadium on Sept. 18 against Portville/CR/BR before a Sept. 26 trip to East Aurora/Holland. October opens with a home game against Iroquois on Oct. 2, followed by an Oct. 9 road game at Dunkirk.

Olean's final two listed regular-season games are Oct. 16 at home against Cheektowaga and Oct. 23 at Lackawanna.

The preseason picture for Olean starts with a roster that has returning skill production and defensive production near the line of scrimmage. Myers' two-way freshman season, Sullivan's receiving work, Ruggles' senior presence, Tingley's production at linebacker and Booth's edge work give Olean several pieces to follow as the schedule begins at Bradner Stadium.
