North Tonawanda won the final two sets to defeat Kenmore East 3-1 in girls volleyball Thursday, Sept. 24, at North Tonawanda High School's New Gym.
North Tonawanda opened with a 25-19 win before Kenmore East answered with a 25-21 victory in the second set. With the match tied at one set apiece, North Tonawanda won the third 25-19 and closed out the match with a 25-22 fourth set.
The victory moved North Tonawanda to 5-3 overall and in NFL play, placing the team fourth in the division standings through Thursday. Kenmore East fell to 3-7 overall and 3-5 in the NFL, standing sixth.
