North Collins earned their first CCAA 3 girls soccer victory with a 3-1 win over Dunkirk on Sept. 17 at Dunkirk High School's HS Turf Field.

North Collins held a 1-0 halftime lead and outscored Dunkirk 2-1 in the second half to finish with a two-goal margin. The victory moved North Collins from 1-3-1 to 2-3-1 overall and to 1-2 in division play.

Celeste Batista made 22 saves for Dunkirk, facing 25 shots and playing all 80 minutes in goal. Chianti Lopez scored Dunkirk's second-half goal on an assist from Angelina Falco. Dunkirk recorded eight shots, with three in the first half and five in the second.

Lopez's goal brought her supplied season total to five, while Falco recorded her first assist of the season. Batista's season save total reached 106 through the contest.

Dunkirk fell to 0-6 overall and 0-3 in CCAA 3. North Collins stood fifth in the division table through the contest date, with Dunkirk sixth.
