Overview

  • Niagara Falls went 10-7 in 2025.
  • Carmella Vilardo had 24 goals and 13 assists in 2025, the top returning scoring line on the roster.
  • Gemma Murgia added 11 goals and five assists in 2025.

Outlook

Niagara Falls enters the 2026 girls soccer season with two major returning attacking pieces from a 10-7 team.

Catherine Burke is identified as head coach, and the roster includes several younger players who already have varsity production attached to their names. The clearest preseason story starts with the front of the attack, where Carmella Vilardo and Gemma Murgia give Niagara Falls a proven scoring base.

Players to Watch

Vilardo's 2025 season was the headline line: 24 goals and 13 assists. That followed 29 goals and one assist in 2024 and seven goals and five assists in 2023, giving Niagara Falls a returning player with multi-year scoring production.

Murgia added 11 goals and five assists in 2025. With Vilardo and Murgia both back, Niagara Falls has two players who can finish chances and create them.

The supporting group has useful pieces, too. Da'mya Burch had three assists in 2025 after posting six goals and seven assists in 2024. Samara Nageotte had one goal and two assists in 2025, while Daisy Holly added two goals.

The roster lists Phoenix Harris, Oshjanae Williams and Alivia Day as goalkeepers, giving Niagara Falls multiple options at the position.

Schedule

Niagara Falls' 2026 schedule includes September games with Niagara Wheatfield, Buffalo Public Schools, North Tonawanda, Kenmore West, Kenmore East and Lockport.

October brings Grand Island, Lewiston-Porter, Niagara Wheatfield, Lockport and North Tonawanda, with the regular-season schedule closing Oct. 15 against North Tonawanda.
