Maryvale Girls Volleyball 2026-27 Preseason Preview

Maryvale begins the 2026 girls volleyball season with a new head coach and several familiar names on the roster.

Jaelah Meyerhofer is in her first season coaching at Maryvale. She played for Maryvale in high school, primarily as an outside hitter, and said she also plays libero and defensive specialist recreationally.

"This playing background certainly shapes how I coach by training my athletes to be versatile on the court and to develop all of their skills, no matter their designated position on the court," Meyerhofer said.

Meyerhofer said she was recruited to play Division III volleyball but chose another path.

Maryvale went 5-13 in 2025-26. The 2026 roster lists 11 players, including seniors Teagan Mirusso, Gabryelle Minckler, Olivia Farleo, Liahnna Diaz and Gianna Tomasulo.

Senior middle blockers Liahnna Diaz and Gabryelle Minckler return alongside senior outside hitter Olivia Farleo and junior setter Miabella Devans. Their experience spans the middle, the pin and the setting position.

The rest of the roster includes junior right-side hitter Maryam Payam, junior libero/defensive specialist Nevaeh Wackenheim, junior right-side/outside hitter Natalia Mcmindes, sophomore right-side hitter/setter Carly Caffery and sophomore outside hitter Avery Nickens.
