Maryvale earned their second win of the season with a 3-0 sweep of Akron in girls volleyball on Sept. 28, 2026, at Akron High School's Main Gym.

Maryvale took the opening set 25-21, the closest of the three sets. They followed with a 25-14 victory in the second set and closed out the match 25-18 in the third.

The victory brought Maryvale's overall record to 2-5. Maryvale stood fifth in ECIC 3 with a 1-4 division record. Akron fell to 2-3 overall and stood third in the N-O division with a 2-1 division record.
