Maple Grove recovered from an opening-set loss to defeat Panama 3-1 in CCAA 3 girls volleyball Wednesday at Maple Grove High School.

Panama took the first set 25-12, but Maple Grove answered with a 25-19 second-set win to even the match. Maple Grove then won the third set 25-20 and finished the match with a 25-23 victory in the fourth.

The result brought Maple Grove to 4-4 overall and dropped Panama to 4-6. Both teams stood at 3-3 in division play. Maple Grove occupied third place and Panama fourth in the CCAA 3 standings through Sept. 30.
