Leonardo DaVinci swept Research Laboratory 25-15, 25-11, 25-6 in girls volleyball on Sept. 28, 2026, at Waterfront Elementary School (PS 95).
Leonardo DaVinci won the opening set by 10 points, widened the margin to 14 in the second and completed the sweep with a 25-6 third set.
Lakshnian Perez Santini led Leonardo DaVinci's listed servers with five aces. Laisha Taverez Rivera added three aces, Emilia Miller had two and Lisandra Burgos contributed one. Burgos also recorded three kills, and Olivia Davis had two.
Through the match, Burgos had 47 aces and 27 kills for the season. Perez Santini's five-ace performance brought her season total to eight.
The victory moved Leonardo DaVinci to 4-2 overall and in Buffalo Division 2, placing the program third in the division standings. Research Laboratory fell to 0-4 overall and in the division and was tied for seventh.
