Lancaster stayed unbeaten with a 3-1 girls volleyball victory at Grand Island on Friday, Sept. 25, winning 25-15, 25-22, 22-25, 25-22 at Grand Island High School.
Lancaster opened with a 25-15 win, then took the second set 25-22 to build a 2-0 lead. Grand Island extended the match with a 25-22 victory in the third set, but Lancaster answered with a 25-22 fourth-set win to finish the match.
The victory improved Lancaster's overall record from 7-0 to 8-0. Grand Island fell from 8-1 to 8-2. Lancaster stood first in ECIC 1 with a 3-0 division record, while Grand Island led the NFL with an 8-0 division record.
