Returning Core Gives Lancaster A Base

Lancaster girls golf follows a 7-2 season in 2025-26 with several players who bring multiple seasons of varsity rounds into 2026.

James Poulos is listed as Lancaster's head coach, and his team has a returning group that stretches across the classes. Seniors Julia Lyman, Isabella Macgregor and Brooklyn Tyler give Lancaster three Class of 2027 players on the roster, while juniors Giana Fazio, Ashleigh Hallnan and Gabriella Pennock are part of the next class behind them.

The roster also includes sophomores Ella Duchon, Olivia Kwiatek and Caroline Smith, freshman Ella Wojtaszczyk and seventh grader Alyssa Lyman.

Duchon has the most notable recent production among Lancaster's returning players. As a freshman in 2025-26, she played six recorded rounds, had three birdies and finished with two medalist rounds. She also had two medalist rounds as an eighth grader in 2024-25.

Julia Lyman gives Lancaster another returning player with a recent medalist round. She had one medalist finish as a junior in 2025-26 after recording one birdie as a sophomore in 2024-25.

Wojtaszczyk, now a freshman, played seven recorded rounds and had one birdie as an eighth grader in 2025-26. Pennock played seven recorded rounds last season after playing eight as a freshman in 2024-25. Fazio had six recorded rounds in each of the past two seasons, while Tyler played five recorded rounds in both 2025-26 and 2024-25. Macgregor had one recorded round in each of those two seasons.

That group gives Lancaster a broad returning base before factoring in Hallnan, Kwiatek, Smith and Alyssa Lyman, who are also listed on the 2026 roster.

Fox Valley Dates Ahead

Lancaster's listed schedule opens Sept. 3 against Depew at Fox Valley Country Club before a Sept. 11 road match against Williamsville East/South at Audubon.

The home schedule continues Sept. 15 against Starpoint, Sept. 22 against East Aurora and Sept. 23 against Orchard Park, all at Fox Valley Country Club. Lancaster is scheduled to visit Depew on Sept. 28 at Rothland Golf Course and Williamsville North on Oct. 1 at Audubon Golf Course.

With a roster that includes experienced seniors, several players with prior scoring history and younger golfers already in the program, Lancaster has the pieces to build its 2026 season around returning depth.
