Lake Shore won a 26-24 fourth set to finish a 3-1 girls volleyball victory over Cheektowaga on Oct. 16 at Cheektowaga Central High School.

Lake Shore took the first set 25-17 and the second 25-18. Cheektowaga extended the match with a 25-18 win in the third, but Lake Shore claimed the fourth by two points to secure the road victory.

The result improved Lake Shore to 4-10 overall and 4-5 in ECIC 3, placing fourth in the standings through Oct. 16. Cheektowaga fell to 1-11 overall and 0-8 in the division, placing sixth.
