Jamestown Red & Green 2026 Football Preview

Jamestown enters the 2026 football season with several returning players already tied to varsity production and a schedule that gives the Red & Green a steady set of tests.

Tom Langworthy is Jamestown's head coach, with Peyton Olson on staff as an assistant coach. Jamestown's clearest early-season identifiers are prior-year two-way production, quarterback experience and a front with several rostered upperclassmen.

Richards Brings Big Two-Way Resume

Alaric Richards is listed as a sophomore RB/LB, and his freshman-year line gives Jamestown one of its most productive returning profiles.

In 2025, Richards rushed for 496 yards and three touchdowns on 100 carries, caught seven passes for 130 yards and a touchdown, and added 45 tackles, three tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks. He also made five interceptions, defended 18 passes, forced one fumble, recovered two fumbles and scored twice on defense.

That production makes him a central name to watch on both sides of the ball as Jamestown works through its eight-game regular-season schedule.

Defensive Experience Across The Field

Angel Martinez, a senior DB/RB, is another key returning piece in the back end. In 2025, Martinez made 55 tackles, added two tackles for loss, intercepted one pass, forced one fumble, recovered one fumble and defended 16 passes.

Drew Bloomquist, a junior TE/LB, also brings defensive production back. As a sophomore, Bloomquist finished with 37 tackles, three tackles for loss, one sack, one interception and seven passes defended.

Kalun Hodgkin gives Jamestown a senior presence listed at DL/OL. His 2025 line included 36 tackles, five tackles for loss, one sack, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.

Braiden Kennedy, a senior DB/LB, had eight tackles and one pass defended in 2025, while Jimmy Graves, a senior RB/LB, added 69 rushing yards, one rushing touchdown, six tackles and one tackle for loss.

Quarterback And Line Picture

Jackson Grey is the lone rostered quarterback with prior-season passing production. As a sophomore in 2025, Grey completed 46 passes for 689 yards and five touchdowns.

The roster lists several senior linemen around the front, including Nicholas Elardo, Masen Miller, Andre Graham and Jayden Rodriguez as OL/DL options, with Hodgkin listed as DL/OL. Andre Graham's 2025 defensive line included four tackles and one sack.

Schedule Landmarks

Jamestown is scheduled to open Sept. 4 at Williamsville North at Williamsville North High School's Turf Field #1, then host Health Sciences/BASC/Charter on Sept. 11 at Jefferson Middle School's Strider Field.

The Red & Green visit Bennett on Sept. 18 at All High Stadium, then return home Sept. 25 against Niagara Falls. October opens with a road game at Lancaster on Oct. 2, followed by another road trip Oct. 10 at Lockport.

Jamestown closes the regular-season schedule with two home games: Oct. 16 against Erie and Oct. 23 against Hutch-Tech.

The season's first read is straightforward: Jamestown has proven two-way production in Richards, Martinez, Bloomquist and Hodgkin, a quarterback with varsity passing experience in Grey, and a schedule that will quickly show how those pieces fit together.
