Hutch Tech defeated visiting Sweet Home 3-1 in boys volleyball Thursday at Hutchinson Central Technical High School, winning 25-22, 25-20, 23-25, 25-18.
Hutch Tech took the first two sets to build a 2-0 lead. Sweet Home kept the match going with a 25-23 third-set victory, but Hutch Tech answered with a 25-18 fourth set to finish the win.
The result brought Hutch Tech to 6-1 overall and 2-0 in Division 2A, where the team stood second. Sweet Home fell to 1-7 overall and 0-3 in the division, tied for 10th.
