Hutch Tech Boys Volleyball Pre-season Preview
Hutch Tech enters the 2026 boys volleyball season with a senior-heavy roster and a familiar foundation from last fall’s 10-6 campaign, according to HighSchoolSports.org published results.
Hutch Tech’s Class of 2027 group gives coach Tom Cullen a number of players who have already been part of the varsity picture. Toreano Johnson, listed at libero/setter, and middle blocker Kai Walker both bring multi-year experience into the season. Aung Win Oo, a setter/right side, also returns as part of that senior class, giving Hutch Tech another option tied to the offense and right-side rotation.
The middle remains a major part of the roster construction. Dieumerci Mbuyi, Naja Oden and Yadiel Gonzalez are all senior middle blockers who return from last season, while Adrian Neal and Kai Walker add to that Class of 2027 presence at the position. Yadriel Ocasio is listed at outside hitter, and Alijah Livingston is listed as a middle/right side.
There is also younger depth on the roster. Eh Dah Htoo Daheh and Carlos Vargas are Class of 2028 right sides, while Caleb Moya is a Class of 2028 middle blocker. Nahid Ahmed, a Class of 2027 defensive specialist, rounds out the listed roster.
Hutch Tech’s schedule starts on the road Sept. 9 at Kenmore, followed by trips to Cardinal O’Hara on Sept. 15, Iprep on Sept. 22 and Williamsville South on Sept. 24. Hutch Tech’s home opener is Sept. 25 against Riverside, beginning a stretch that also includes home matches with CSAT, Sweet Home and Olmsted before an Oct. 7 visit to City Honors.
The closing portion of the listed schedule includes a home date with McKinley on Oct. 19, Niagara Falls on Oct. 21, a road match at Olmsted on Oct. 23, a home match against City Honors on Oct. 26 and the last listed match Oct. 28 at Sweet Home.
