Health Sciences earned a straight-set win over McKinley on Tuesday, winning 25-14, 25-7, 25-17 in Buffalo Division 1 girls volleyball at Delevan Grider Community Center.

Health Sciences improved to 4-1 overall and 3-1 in division play. McKinley moved to 2-2 overall and 2-2 in Buffalo Division 1.

Jada Gibbs paced Health Sciences with 11 kills, seven aces and two digs. Tianna Riley-Vance directed the offense with 13 assists and also had seven aces and two digs. RaMya Peay added five kills, seven aces and two digs.

Nayeli Camacho led the defensive effort with 11 digs and added three aces. Kaithlyanne Felix had three aces and two digs, while Kei'Shae Whitt finished with two kills and an ace. Addison Scales-Francis also recorded an ace.

Health Sciences coach Blair Helton pointed to serving pressure and offensive connections as key parts of the win and said the Falcons controlled the pace throughout all three sets. Helton also noted that the Falcons still have areas to sharpen after the sweep.

"Winning in straight sets is always the goal on paper, but Sectional titles are won on precision. While our 29 aces show our offensive aggression, putting up 11 service errors and falling just short of our .250 hitting target means we still have work to do. We're building for November, not just September."
