Health Sciences Falcons 2026 Football Preview

Ty Parker's expectation for Health Sciences is direct entering the 2026 football season.

"Hard Working and will compete at a high level," Parker said of the Falcons' outlook.

Parker enters his eighth season as Health Sciences head coach, and the Falcons are setting an ambitious standard in Class AA. Asked what would make a successful season, Parker said the goal is to win a state championship.

The identity he wants is built on speed, physicality and a line that can let Health Sciences control the run game.

Experience Starts Up Front

Parker pointed to Tyjuan Moye, Arnette Williams, Kendall Dudley, Krishawn Steward, Amare Ridgeway, Jason Love and Terrance Shuford as experienced players who give the Falcons a foundation.

That foundation starts on the offensive line. Parker named Moye, Steward, Dudley and Jaidyn Brewer as the linemen expected to anchor the group, saying they bring a ton of experience to the offensive front.

Moye, a senior OL/DL, is also central to the defensive front. Parker called him the anchor of the defensive line and said he is "arguably the best D-lineman in WNY."

The returning production backs up why Moye is such a focal point. In 2025, he had 91 tackles, 23 tackles for loss, 11 sacks and two forced fumbles.

Dudley is listed as a senior OL/DL, Steward as a senior OL/DL and Brewer as a sophomore OL/DL. Parker's confidence in that group matters because the Falcons want a more balanced offense, but he said success still starts with running the ball effectively.

Playmakers And Leadership

Ridgeway, a junior RB/LB, gives the Falcons one of their most productive returning two-way players. In 2025, he rushed for 151 yards and three touchdowns, and defensively he recorded 143 tackles, 19 tackles for loss, nine sacks, two interceptions, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.

Williams, a senior WR/DB, brings big-play receiving production back to the offense. He caught 14 passes for 480 yards and nine touchdowns in 2025.

Parker named Dominik Wakefield as a player who could have a breakout season. Wakefield is listed as a senior QB/DB, and the quarterback picture has two players competing for the starting job. Parker said he will ask the quarterbacks to be composed, run the offense and lead the team.

Jacob Dowell is also listed at quarterback. In 2025, Dowell completed 59 passes for 763 yards and four touchdowns, while also rushing for 62 yards and two touchdowns.

Shuford, a sophomore RB/OLB/DE, is the new contributor Parker wants readers to know. Love, a senior DB/WR, joins Moye as one of the Falcons' captains, and Parker also pointed to Joel Holley as a player who brings the energy and intensity the team needs.

Carmello Weatherspoon, a sophomore DB/WR/RB, is the special-teams player Parker said could make a difference.

Fast And Physical

Health Sciences wants to play with tempo and edge on both sides of the ball.

"I want our team to play fast and aggressive," Parker said. "We run multiple sets offensively."

On defense, Parker's description was just as clear: "Our defensive identity is to play fast and be physical."

The next layer is execution. Parker said the Falcons need to keep building team chemistry and become more efficient with detailed assignments as the season progresses.

Schedule Landmarks

Health Sciences opens with two road games, Sept. 5 against Canisius at Erie Community College North Campus and Sept. 11 at Jamestown's Strider Field.

The Falcons then visit Lancaster on Sept. 18 before three straight home games at Buffalo State University's Coyer Field: Bennett on Sept. 25, Lockport on Oct. 2 and Hutch-Tech on Oct. 16.

The regular-season schedule closes Oct. 24 at Niagara Falls.

For Health Sciences, the season's shape is clear. The Falcons want to run the ball behind an experienced offensive line, let Moye anchor a fast and physical defense, and grow into a Class AA contender built around detail, chemistry and pressure at the line of scrimmage.
