Grand Island swept Niagara Wheatfield for 10th win

Overview

Grand Island defeated Niagara Wheatfield 3-0 in boys volleyball on Oct. 16.
The home team won the first two sets by eight and 12 points before closing with a 25-20 third set.
Grand Island improved to 10-3 overall; Niagara Wheatfield fell to 4-4.

Grand Island earned their 10th victory of the boys volleyball season with a 3-0 sweep of Niagara Wheatfield on Oct. 16 at Grand Island High School.

Grand Island opened with a 25-17 win and took the second set 25-13. Niagara Wheatfield made the third set the closest of the match, but Grand Island finished the sweep with a 25-20 victory.

The result moved Grand Island to 10-3 overall and 3-1 in Division 2A, tied for third in the standings through the contest date. Niagara Wheatfield dropped to 4-4 overall and 1-2 in the division, tied for seventh.
