East Community Girls Volleyball Pre-Season Preview

East Community enters the 2026 girls volleyball season with Amber Castoire as head coach and a senior returning group to build around.

East Community went 2-8 in 2025-26, with both victories coming in straight sets. East Community defeated Performing Arts 3-0 on Sept. 15 and won 3-0 at Research Laboratory on Sept. 25.

This year's senior returners include Karma Alexander, Jaineilly Benesario Damiani, Dianis Gonzalez Cruz, Autumn Lutz and Kayla Spink-Clemenson. Each is listed in the Class of 2027, giving East Community an experienced senior group as the season begins.

East Community opens Sept. 14 against MST at Seneca Vocational High School. The home opener follows Sept. 16 against Performing Arts, and the first week continues Sept. 18 against Burgard.

The schedule turns to road matches at Riverside on Sept. 22, MEC/Bennett on Sept. 28 and Research Laboratory on Sept. 30, with a home date against Leonardo DaVinci on Sept. 24 in between. October brings the second pass through the schedule, including home matches against MST on Oct. 2, Riverside on Oct. 9, MEC/Bennett on Oct. 15 and Research Laboratory on Oct. 20.

After splitting with Performing Arts last season and beating Research Laboratory once, East Community will see both programs again in 2026 as it looks to carry its returning senior experience into the new schedule.
