East Aurora/Holland Boys Volleyball Pre-Season Preview

East Aurora/Holland begins the 2026 boys volleyball season with Angelo Calabrese taking over as head coach.

Calabrese is in his first season as head coach at East Aurora, giving the program a new voice as it moves into a schedule filled with familiar Western New York opponents.

The roster has several seniors with previous varsity appearances. Alex Bell is listed as an outside hitter, Andrew Bodecker as a setter, Parker Briggs as a middle blocker, and Rhett Egloff and Luke Krieger as opposites. Each is part of the Class of 2027 and appeared in prior seasons, giving East Aurora/Holland experience across the front row and at setter.

East Aurora/Holland's roster also includes Mason Hirschfelt, Conrad Larson and Gabriel Thompson from the Class of 2027, along with freshman Maxwell Kasperek.

The listed schedule begins Sept. 9 against Cheektowaga, followed by a Sept. 15 trip to Maryvale and a Sept. 18 home match against Eden/North Collins. East Aurora/Holland then visits St. Joseph's on Sept. 21 and West Seneca East on Sept. 23 before hosting Williamsville North on Sept. 25 and Hamburg on Sept. 30.

October opens with home dates against Iroquois on Oct. 1 and Victor on Oct. 3. A busy stretch follows with four matches in four days from Oct. 6-9: at Cheektowaga, at West Seneca West, home against Maryvale and at Lake Shore.

East Aurora/Holland went 9-7 in published 2025-26 results. With Calabrese stepping in and several seniors back from prior varsity seasons, the early part of the schedule gives the group a chance to establish its rotation before the closing run against Eden/North Collins, Lake Shore, West Seneca East and Iroquois.
