Claire Brady shot a 38 with two birdies to lead Orchard Park to a 186–251 girls golf victory over East Aurora on Tuesday, Oct. 6, at Orchard Park Country Club.
Brady earned medalist honors as Orchard Park improved to 9-0 overall. Eliana Wierzbowski followed with a 42, while Marissa Leffler shot a 52 and Gabriella (Gabi) Hill added a 54 to complete the home team's four counting scores.
Orchard Park recorded a lower combined score on each of the nine holes. Their largest advantage on a single hole came on the third, where their four counting golfers totaled 18 strokes to East Aurora's 31. Those steady gains produced the final 65-stroke margin.
Ariana Ward paced East Aurora with a 58. Iuliia Karpenko finished at 60, Charolotte Roycroft shot a 65, and Abby Jetty added a 68 to round out East Aurora's team total.
With Tuesday's performance included, Brady had five medalist honors and eight birdies for the season.
East Aurora fell to 1-5 overall. The cross-division match left Orchard Park's ECIC Large record at 3-0 and East Aurora's ECIC Small record at 1-0.
