Addison Elia, Madan score twice as Wilson blanks Roy-Hart/Medina

Addison Elia and Lucy Madan each scored twice as Wilson defeated Roy-Hart/Medina 5-0 in girls soccer on Friday, Sept. 25, at Wilson Central School's Walter J. Hutchison Stadium.

Wilson built a 4-0 lead by halftime and added a second-half goal to improve to 9-0 overall and 5-0 in Niagara Orleans play. Roy-Hart/Medina fell to 5-5 overall and 2-3 in the division.

Madan scored both of her goals in the first half, with Addison Elia assisting on each. Elia also scored before halftime with an assist from Lilly Gurski, who contributed a goal of her own with an assist from Colbie Elia.

Grace Smith assisted on Addison Elia's second-half goal. Elia finished with two goals and two assists, while Gurski totaled a goal and an assist.

Brooke Urban stopped all three shots she faced during 80 minutes in goal for Wilson. Courtney Aquilina made 15 saves in 80 minutes for Roy-Hart/Medina.

Wilson's coaching staff named Zoey Beck, Addison Elia and Madan as standouts.

Through Friday's match, Addison Elia had 13 goals and five assists for the season. Madan had eight goals and one assist, and Gurski had eight goals and 14 assists.

Wilson stood first in Niagara Orleans, ahead of Akron at 4-1 in division play. Roy-Hart/Medina was listed fifth, with the same 2-3 division record as Albion and Barker/Lyndonville.
